There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Established in 1970 by a group of local leaders in the West Alabama cultural community, the Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County is one of the oldest and consistently active non-profit arts organizations in the region. The Council works to promote the arts in the area through the management of the historic Bama Theatre and Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, educational programming, and support of its 50 member organizations. The Arts Council serves the visual arts community through the West Alabama Juried Show, Double Exposure Statewide Photography Competition, and the Visual Art Achievement Awards. Galleries located in the Bama Theatre and Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center provide spaces for local artists to display their work.
